Yesterday started at 10 a.m. with Jodie and her bridesmaids getting their hair done at The Hair Cutting Co. on Main street in Newton, KS. Following the bridesmaids went with Jodie to Wichita to get their make-up applied inside of Dillard's East. Then they made the trek back to Newton to the church, Faith Mennonite.

When Jodie got back her groom awaited to see her for the first time at the front of the altar. Jodie slipped into her dress and was ready to see Jeff in nothing flat. As Jeff waited he said he is not the nervous type but had trembling fingers as he played with her wedding band that was going to go on her finger. All anxieties slipped away once we cleared the sanctuary for the two of them to see each other. We grabbed some formals after their private time with one another. While taking shots of Jodie at the front of the church Jeff kept saying, "I am the luckiest man alive. Wow!!! You are so beautiful!!!" He was truly blown away by how beautiful she looked, both on the inside and out.

With talking with Jeff and Jodie during the pre-planning stages prior to the wedding they wanted to make sure they got lots of fun shots with the two of them off location. So that's what we did! As they planned their day they allowed us 45 minutes just to spend with them going around to different locations in Newton's downtown area. We were able to grab some really amazing shots by some of the older buildings and captured them just being themselves. We then went back to the church and finished up the group shots with the families.

The ceremony had a peaceful ambiance with light shining through the pastel stain-glass. After the ceremony, Jeff and Jodie ushered all the guests out the pews and the guests stood outside to send them off in a friend's black T-top convertible Camero. The guests greeted them at the 20th Century Club for the reception. Brian with Premier Sound kept everyone dancing all night till the couple left a little after 11 p.m. Throughout the evening Jeff and his buddies had a couple of inside phrases that they would say to one another. One being "Shake and Bake" as they clanked knuckles and another "Good Game!"

Yesterday couldn't have been a prettier day with sunshine, warmth with a slight breeze.

You guys were awesome to work with and it was obvious you are completely crazy for one another. Once you see your pictures we hope we were able to capture the emotions that you had with one another on your wedding day so you may relive your special day. Thanks again! :)

We met the wedding party at Rose Hill United Methodist Church. It was East of town about a mile in the middle of a field. Ashley with her 5 bridesmaids and flower-girl got ready in the parlor. Jay and his groomsmen and ring-bearer, who was also 22, got ready in the library.

Their wedding was the first we had taken that the ring-bearer and flower-girl were grown adults. Trent carried a bright pink pillow and Carlie carried a basket with small daisies. Carlie's ensemble consisted of a black strapless with pick ribbon around her waste and bright pink high heeled shoes along with her hair in pigtails. The bridesmaids wore custom made strapless pink dresses with black ribbon. The flowers were also bright colored pink and white gerber daisies. The bright colors really reflected of how the day progressed.

The ceremony consisted of more guests than the church sanctuary could hold. There were an overflow of guests who watched through the the windows into the sanctuary. Ashley had said that 358 guests RSVP'd. Before heading off to the reception we grabbed some shots of Ashley and Jay in the field out back of the church as the sun was setting.

The reception was held at the Wholesale Fireworks in Andover. The place was packed. The cake was grey, black and pink poke-a-dotted with a big ace card on each side for the groom's cake/sheet cakes. Steve Walsh with Advanced DJ Service kept the crowd entertained as he played music all night long. We will just say that people from the Rose Hill area know how to party and have a good time. We are glad that we were able to document your special day.

Big News. Big News!

Big News on its way. Sorry we can't tell everyone yet, hopefully next week we will be able to make an official announcement. Let's just say we are very honored to have been asked to be apart of what I can't tell you about right now.

In addition to this upcoming big news we are in process of working on what hopefully turns out to be a very cool announcement. This one you might have to wait until years end, but we'll keep you posted if we are able to announce it sooner.

Everything is still going crazy, crazy here. We will be posting soon the KC engagement pics that were taken on Monday. We've had a flood of engagement sessions as of lately and are working diligently to get them out. The registry is coming along as we are continuing to make tweaks, but hope to have it out soon.

Need to get back to the editing game. Talk at everyone later.

Alicia's wedding day started on Saturday April 7th at the salon, Julie Balay, with her four bridesmaids. Following the salon, the ladies all headed over to Clinique counter at Dillard's for makeup. Once the final details were touched up with makeup the ladies finished getting ready at the Broadview Hotel.

The ceremony and reception took place at the close by Garvey Center, where Alicia was escorted down the aisle by her father to the wonderful music of a string quartet. With the lights turn down the room was filled with a warm glow from the decorative lamps hung above the hardwood dance floor. Following the ceremony the couple and guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner by Corporate Caterers. After dinner Alicia was ready to dance wearing her bridal sketcher shoes. The shoes were a very stylish and comfortable way to dance the night away.

Congrats to you both Josh and Alicia, thank you for letting us be a part of your joyous day.

New website and updates!

Okay yes we have a new website and this is probably old news if you are reading this. Anyways, be sure to check out the samples galleries as we have posted some new samples and we'll be adding more samples in the coming months.

We've moved all of our domains to redirect to the new site. So what does that mean? Well... If you visit bschaufphotography.com or tjstudios.com (or one of our numerous other domains: jeffwendling.com, tyffanywendling.com, bschauf.com, bschaufphotography.com, photowichita.com, myphotostyle.com, photographystyle.com, kcweddingstyle.com, theweddinggalleria.com and so on.) you will end up at tjstudiosinc.com.

The new "inc." site is now our official company site. Sweet I know, we are now official. The reason for this is we needed to have a way to tie both of the companies from the merger of Brett Schauf Photography into T&J Studios, which took place Jan. 1 of this year. Ok now that this is as clear as mud... On with the news!

I know what you're thinking I (Jeff) really needs to write my posts when I've had more sleep. I agree they would probably make more sence and have less rambling. Ok really on with the news.

We've just posted a new blog dedicated to hosting all of the debuts that both Brett, Tyff and I create for our brides and other customers. You can now find a link to the new blog by clicking on the blogs menu or by clicking here. We will still post new debuts on the blog you are reading from now as well. The new blog will make it easier to find your debut as non-related posts are published.

Well off to finish up some editing.

New tools of the trade

T&J Studios is proud to announce some new additions to our toolbox. This past March the three amigos, Brett, Barry (Fat Cat Productions) and Jeff traveled to Dallas for a demo of Aperture put on by Apple. The program rocks!!! We've since added this powerful tool into the box and coming in next week we will be getting Adobe's latest Creative Suite CS3 in the mail.

The gang here at the studio is excited about the new updates and features that will be coming in the new software. If you like the technical side of what we do visit Adobe's website

Also some exciting news is that we will be starting beta testing for our long awaited registry project. This is a project that we have had in the works for a long while now. We are excited about the flexibility and benefits it will bring to our customers.

Here are a few pics from the Dallas trip. These and many more will be showing up on our new project ProMediaShare. We currently have a pending trademark in the works and will be finishing up the development of the site in the following few months.

McGuire - Pannell

Last weekend on Friday, March 30 we drove to Alva, OK and had a few detours getting there and plenty of rain, but we made it in plenty of time for the rehearsal that we had for the wedding that was the following day, March 31. It was nice to awake to a clearing sky that turned out to be a beautiful day for Keri and Billy's wedding day.

The day started bright and early at "The Wild Hair Salon" for Keri to get her hair and make-up done. Finishing ahead of schedule Keri headed over to the church to attend to a few more details. The day went very smooth and less stressful once Billy got to see Keri in her dress for the first time that day. We were able to go to many places around the church including a gazebo in the back and a wishing well across the street. Keri took a few minutes to breathe and take it all in as she sat in the pews with her heals draped over. The ceremony consisted of Reverend Shane Tharp giving the service and the beautiful sun peeped through the windows of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church as Keri and Billy exchanged their vows. Immediately following, the guests lined up outside of the church with bubbles to send the couple away with.

The reception was in the hall of the church hosted by Keri's parents, Pat and Kathy McGuire. Pat mentioned that he had been very busy and to say the least we would say he really had been! He had enough food (and more) prepared to feed all the guests consisting of barbecue beef, ham, potato salad, coleslaw, and more. After all the formal events during the reception Keri and Billy wanted to go find a swing to have fun in with Billy pushing Keri. This was Keri's wish of all day to get a picture of. We drove around and found a school playground with swings (only ones that weren't muddy). It was a blast and as they said for themselves they are truly "Kids at Heart". We loved you guys and we are so glad we got to partake in your special day. We were able to get a lot of amazing shots.

Thanks again!

Our Kids

Since we haven't had kids yet we have pups. We call them our pups because they are only a foot tall, but they are full grown. We got Lucky when he was 8 weeks old on our one year anniversary in 2003 from the Kansas Humane Society. Please feel free to click here to visit their site and view the dogs that need new homes. They update the new adoptions on a regular basis.

We loved Lucky so much we couldn't help ourselves to go out and look for a buddy for Lucky. We wanted to find another smaller dog to be Lucky's playmate. We stumbled into the Animal Shelter ("The Pound") on a cold day in February 2004. It was really depressing to go back and see so many animals without homes that were locked up. We wanted them all, but when we saw Maggie we knew we had to have her. She was 6 months old then. The two are now unseparatable. The following video shows some of the tricks they know how to do. Maggie's trick with pouting just came about when she had gotten in trouble one day and we told her to go pout. She likes to hide under either the couch or our bed. Then when she feels like she has given herself enough time-out she comes back out. It is bazar but she does it.

Both pups also know how to tell you sorry afterwards by giving you a lick on the chin, otherwise they know it is not right to lick one's face all the time (only when they are sorry for something they have done that is bad). We swear they know what we say and we don't have to say Treat we can actually spell it out "Do you want a T.R.E.A.T?" And they know exactly what we mean and go running over to their cookie jar. It is just nuts and crazy! They never cease to amaze us all the time as if we are talking about little humans, but they are the BEST dogs/pups EVER!!!!! We love them very much!
